There are war memories on every part of Saipan.  Pictured here is one of the many gunner caves built on the beaches.  An old japanese tank sits just off beach road, a major road, right by the water.  There are many memorials to the fallen.  And still now the military finds Saipan a good spot to store container ships waiting to provide for soldiers and for shore leave.
